These free checks are very like our adolescent checks, however they are aimed at kittens reaching 4-5 months of age.
Particularly for multi-cat households, neutering male cats from 5-6 months of age may prevent unwanted pregnancies. This will also help those clients wanting to allow outside access to their kitten from an early age.
At these appointments we can discuss behavioural changes, which often become an issue once sexual maturity is reached and the cats natural territorial behaviour is apparent. We are commonly asked about digestive disturbances in kittens, for example diarrhoea, which leads to discussions about dietary requirements and regular worming.
