Meet Diane – Bay Vets’ qualified “Cat Advocate”
Hello – My name is Diane Bain and I am the Senior Receptionist and Cat Advocate here at Bay Vets.
Since starting work here 6 years ago, I have developed a keen interest in cats and their behaviour. I originally studied this when I received my National Diploma in Animal Care in 2000, but I wanted to take my studies even further. Last year I achieved a Level 3 Diploma in Feline Psychology and Behaviour, finishing with a distinction. I am now working towards my Level 4 qualification in Advanced Behaviour.
With the help of this training and qualification this has given me the opportunity to become one of the official cat advocates here at Bay Vets, which means I am available to speak to you over the phone or in a consultation to help with any aspects of feline behaviour.
What’s more, Bay Vets have now achieved official accreditation as a Cat Friendly Clinic from the International Society for Feline Medicine.
You can now book a consultation with me face to face regarding any behaviour problems your cat may have, such as:
- Soiling in house
- Introducing a new cat
- Any other undesirable behaviour
During my consultations, whether on the phone or in person, I offer an in-depth service where you will be given the time to ask questions and talk at length with me. You don’t need to bring your cat with you, but feline companions are always welcome too.
I have compiled a questionnaire which I ask people to complete prior to our consultation so I know exactly which area you may need help with. The form can be emailed to me at email@example.com or alternatively faxed to me on 01524 849690.
