Join the Bay Vets family and receive all the care & support you and your pet will ever need

DogHealthMost people don’t realise that many vets have just every day facilities at their surgery. Which means they sometimes need to refer you to other vets for necessary procedures.

At Bay Vets more than 95% of all clinical work is performed in-house. We have almost every facility needed to treat your pet at our Lancaster surgery, meaning you don’t have the burden of travel and dealing with a practice you don’t have a relationship with.

It’s important to you that your furry friend is healthy and happy at all times, and has a reliable veterinary expert to visit when they need professional care. Bay Vets is here for you 24/7. And because we use our own staff for out of hours cover, you are guaranteed a consistency of care.

Local, convenient and trustworthy

For your convenience we have three branches of our practice spread across Lancashire and South Cumbria; Lancaster, Morecambe, and Milnthorpe. Both our Lancaster and Morecambe surgeries have been accredited Tier 2 RCVS status, which means that your pet will receive nothing but the highest standard of treatment.

Small_Animal_Practice150When you visit Bay Vets, your animal should normally not need to be referred elsewhere for treatment. Between our three surgeries we are equipped to conduct everything from thorough general health checks right through to major surgical procedures. Our expertise means that we are recognised in the surrounding area as somewhere other veterinary practices can send particularly difficult cases for treatment.

You only ever want your pet to see the veterinary professional best suited to their needs. At Bay Vets we have a number of highly skilled practitioners who each have a wealth of experience in different areas of veterinary medicine. So whether your pet needs treatment for an internal or external, minor or major condition, there will be an expert on hand to care for them.

A true commitment to the highest standards of veterinary care

Nursing is an incredibly important part of veterinary care. At Bay Vets we are an approved nurse training centre which means our experienced team of nurses are able to pass on their “Four C” philosophy to trainees; commitment, compassion, capability and care.

Should your pet need emergency attention once our branches have closed for the night, Bay Vets offers you an out-of-hours service. This service is exclusively for our patients only and is run by our very own veterinary surgeons and nurses. So whether it’s advice from a vet that you require, or emergency care, we’re here for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

For all of your pet’s daily essentials you can pop into our Bay Vets Boutique. At our Lancaster branch outlet store you’ll be able to browse our variety of durable toys, buy great habitats for garden wildlife, as well as order specialist diets and much more.

Bay Vets is locally owned and operated, and our vets have a combined 180+ years of veterinary experience. We look forward to meeting you and  your pet soon.

Well I have to be honest, I have not told reefa he is due in for his vaccinations soon. He will hide but once he gets there he starts eyeing all the young nurses up and waits for his cuddles off them. Always so lovely and such a friendly vets.
