Celebrating “Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month”
May is VETERINARY NURSING AWARENESS MONTH!
Throughout the month of May we will be sharing advice about each and every service our amazing Nurses provide here at Bay Vets!
Veterinary nurses play an important role in the care of your pet, and are a vital member of the veterinary team. They carry out technical work and are skilled in undertaking a range of diagnostic tests, medical treatments and minor surgical procedures, under veterinary surgeon direction.
Veterinary nurses also advise on keeping pets healthy and in many practices run their own nursing consultations and out-patient checks.
Take a look at just how skilled our nursing team are here at Bay Vets by visiting the following webpage: //www.bayvets.co.uk/nurse-clinics/
Following on from our Christmas Quiz we had for Save-A-Pet animal charity based in Morecambe, we are super pleased to announce £108.00 has been raised.
The winner with an amazing 25/25 for the quiz is Mrs Lyth from Carnforth. Here Mrs Lyth is, with our Boutique Assistant Linda collecting her prize being a yummy chocolate hamper. 🙂
Thank you to all that entered and helped us raise funds for this amazing animal charity. Here are the answers for those of you who racked their brains to enter.
Bay Vets Celebrating “International Day Of Charity”
Mon 5th Sept 2016 was “International Day Of Charity”
To celebrate this day we “donated” 4 Bay Vets team members to our very hardworking local animal charities being: Wolfwood, Cats Protection, Save-A-Pet & Animal Care for the entire day to give a helping hand.
We had our RVN Head Nurse from Milnthorpe Vicky who worked with Animal Care, our puppy party queen/receptionist Charlotte who worked with Wolfwood, our Development Manager Sarah with Cats Protection and our Boutique Assistant Linda with Save-A-Pet. All 4 ladies thoroughly enjoyed their day with each charity.
Later in the afternoon Bay Vets Chairman then attended a meeting with each animal charity representative to meet Cooky from The Bay Radio. Cooky then interviewed each member and asked various questions about each charity and business.
Sarah the Development Manager from Bay Vets then presented each charity representative with a large chocolate hamper and thank you card for them to share with all of the volunteer team of each charity. We feel that each and every one of the volunteers of each animal charity work extremely hard and all their time given is unpaid for and in their own time and we wanted to share how much we value this.

One Step Ahead With The Latest Fashion From Bay Vets!!
As some of you are aware, yesterday, Sunday 8th February 2015, we hosted our very own Doggie Fashion Show to help raise funds for our Local Animal Charities Wolfwood, Dogs for the Disabled, Save-A-Pet and Animal Care.
The day kick started at 2:30pm, tickets were available on the door if not already purchased and to our surprise we had a que at the door straight away which was brilliant. Local people and clients were flocking in and grabbing the best seat.
Our Catwalk started with an introduction from our Clinical Director Katie Kyle, following on by the catwalk
host Linda Raine – Boutique Assistant.
